James J. Bruder, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer has been involved with Harron Communications since working as a summertime cable television service technician during high school. In 1996, Mr. Bruder began his professional career with Harron and has held several positions in the Harron companies through the years, most recently having been responsible for the oversight of the strategic and day-to-day activities of the Harron companies. Mr. Bruder received his BA in Economics from Colorado State University, and has taken postgraduate courses at Villanova University and The Wharton School and the MBA Program at Penn State University. Mr. Bruder serves on the board of the American Cable Association.
Thomas M. Marturano, President and Chief Operating Officer, joined Harron Communications in 2005. Mr. Marturano is responsible for the strategic operational direction of the company and works closely with the technical, engineering, legal, finance and marketing departments to ensure that the company is operating effectively. Since joining Harron, Mr. Marturano has led the company through a financial restructuring, several bank financings and equity raises, and he has also managed numerous transactions, including nine acquisitions in both new and existing regions as well as two divestitures of non-core assets. Mr. Marturano's involvement with Harron began in the early 1990s when he was a cable television investment banker with Communications Equity Associates ('CEA'). While at CEA, Mr. Marturano completed over $4 billion in cable television transactions and financings both domestically and internationally. At CEA, Mr. Marturano represented Harron in several large senior debt placements, brokered several purchases and sales of cable systems for Harron, placed private equity for Harron, and represented Harron in its sale of 300,000 subscribers to Adelphia in 1999. Mr. Marturano received a B.S.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A with a concentration in Finance from Drexel University. Mr. Marturano is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Ryan F. Pearson, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, joined Harron Communications in 2008. Prior to joining Harron Communications, Mr. Pearson was a partner in the business and finance practice group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, an international law firm with over 1,400 lawyers. Mr. Pearson's practice at Morgan Lewis focused on mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of securities and the general representation of public and emerging growth companies. While at Morgan Lewis, Mr. Pearson served as Harron Communications' primary outside corporate counsel. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Pearson was an associate in the corporate department of Davis Polk & Wardwell, New York. Mr. Pearson received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University, graduating with highest distinction, and a juris doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he served as Comments Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and graduated cum laude.
Shawn P. Flannery, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, joined Harron Communications in 1991 as Regional Accountant and was promoted in 1995 to Senior Financial and Treasury Analyst, assisting with Harron's senior debt financings, debt compliance and system acquisitions. In 1998, Mr. Flannery was promoted to Controller for MetroCast with responsibilities including establishment of financial controls and procedures, compliance of the company's credit facility, cable system acquisitions and financial oversight of the cable TV system rebuilds. Currently as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Flannery is responsible for all financial reporting including audits and compliance. Mr. Flannery has played an integral role in growing MetroCast from a single 30,000 customer cable system in 1998 to a 200,000 customer MSO in 2008. Mr. Flannery received a B.S. degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University in 1988 and an M.B.A. from Villanova University in 1997.
Constance S. Prince, Chief Administrative Officer, joined Harron Communications in 1984. During her 24-year tenure with Harron, Ms. Prince held various positions in the company including Executive Assistant to both the C.F.O. and C.O.O. In addition, she held the position of Supervisor of Administrative Services where she managed all the critical, legal and confidential records of the numerous companies and subsidiaries during the period when Harron had over 300,000 subscribers. Ms. Prince is now responsible for the management of the administrative functions of the company including information systems, facility management, insurance coordination, and the management of the company's critical documentation including franchise renewals and FCC compliance. Ms. Prince received a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University in 1994.
